About the circuit

Climate

Close to the equator, hot and humid. A wide track runs across land that used to be an oil palm plantation. After the sun beats down, a heavy downpour can arrive. The same corner becomes a different fight in the dry and in the wet.

Track layout

Cross the start-finish line and the first braking zone arrives almost at once. It is the hardest braking of the lap. The entry is wide, so the fight starts here. Then come the fast sections and the long back straight, all the way to the final hairpin.

Where the action is

There are two big places to pass: the first corner after the main straight, and the final hairpin after the back straight. Both come after a long straight and a full-on stab of the brakes. Brake later and you take the place, but you are not safe yet. The one who picks the line that cannot be passed back wins the duel.
