About the circuit
Climate
The track sits 180 m above sea level. Looking back at past race days, most were sunny or cloudy; only one in ten was wet.
Track layout
The lap runs clockwise, and slow corners followed by straights set the rhythm. Past the uphill hairpin, the 762 m back straight, the longest on the track, runs downhill and loses about 30 m of height. It ends at a 90-degree corner. The road goes under the oval twice, and the lap closes with the Victory corner.
Where the action is
The key spot is the 90-degree corner at the end of the downhill back straight. Riders arrive at over 300 km/h and drop to around 85 km/h, described as the hardest braking of the lap, and it is also named as a place to pass.
